WE ARE LOOKING FOR STORIES THAT MAKE US STRONGER, TOGETHER!
* We encourage all current mentees and families to share their stories during National Volunteer Appreciation Week (April 16 – April 22, 2023)! Please fill out the form below to begin!
From movie nights, to hockey games, to activities shared at our office, or even receiving words of wisdom, having a mentor can positively shape our identities. Even the misadventures and the unexpected turn of events. Our mentor stories are never perfect all the way through, but the most interesting parts come from the life lessons we take away from them.
Our commitment to being at the centre of mentoring excellence in Winnipeg has facilitated thousands of relationships focused on connecting strengths, nurturing talents, developing resilience, and inspiring hope.
The stories we have heard from our community of current and former Mentors, Mentees, Families, Staff, Committee Members, Board of Directors, and Volunteers is bountiful, enriching, and impactful to the work we have established from our former office on Portage Avenue to our current Ellice Avenue location.
We know that growing up is a challenging task, especially for young people who face various adversities. Growing up in challenging circumstances requires a community of care and concern and anchors of consistent positive attention.
By sharing our own stories of lessons learned and abilities gained through mentorship, we can encourage more youth to consider mentorship as a way to navigate challenges or an unexpected turn of events.
